The Learning Disability Qualification Induction Award is a requirement for all new workers in Learning Disability Services.

How are you making LDQ training work?

This day will get you up to date, help you to understand all the options open to you and give you the skills and knowledge you need to help your workers gain the qualifications they need.

Come and find out how to:

  • Work through an existing LDQ Centre or become an LDQ Centre in your own right
  • Get your training programme approved for LDQ
  • Become an effective supporter, marker or assessor
  • Make the best use of ready approved training programmes
Programme

Morning:

  • LDQ: what it is and how it works
  • Understand the options in relation to LDQ
  • Find out about the new Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) that will revolutionise all vocational qualifications and funding
  • Access the funding for training that you are entitled to

Afternoon:

  • Option 1: LDQ Centres: how to set up as a Centre or work through existing Centres, and how to get your own training programme approved
  • Option 2: Use ready approved training programmes, and maximise your learner success rate.
