The big picture
We’d like to use this library to help share good practice and promote the work of ARC and our membership organisations within the learning disability sector.
We’re looking for a range of images that show people with a learning disability in a positive light - living, working, interacting, making friends and having fun in a range of environments and being involved in all aspects of their lives and their communities.
We’d like these images to become a resource we can use to produce leaflets, publications, training materials and websites, to help communicate the good work we and you are doing.
We’d also like it to become a tool for people with a learning disability to express themselves and share their views of the world or maybe voice their opinions on issues, as well as an opportunity to develop a new skill and interest.

How to enter / Terms and conditions in brief
Entry is open to all over 18 - We’d like to see entries from people with a learning disability, but also their families and friends and carers and people who work with them.
People can enter more than one photograph, but EACH photograph must be accompanied by a completed entry form (downloadable here or available on request from Nic).
We’d prefer it if entries were in a digital format, sent as a JPEG attachment on an email to Nic Crossley our Information Officer at nic.crossley@arcuk.org.uk.
We will accept printed photos for the competition, but we cannot return them.Please address all postal entries to:

There are four prizes to be won. Each prize is a £25.00 token for Marks and Spencer.
Suggestions for entry are Entertainment, Support, Friends and Celebration.
Please note: Because we may use these images for publicity purposes we need your permission to do so. It is important to be aware that entry into our competition will mean permission has been granted (see entry form).
It’s also important that you have the consent of the people in the photographs too. Space is provided on the entry form for you to clarify this. This is a condition of entry. The closing date for entries is 31 October 2010
Shortlisted photographs will be published in the December Issue (Issue 8) of the ARC Member's e-zine Changing Perspectives and voted on by you, our members.
The closing date for voting is 30 January 2011 and the winning photographs will be published in the March 2011 Issue (Issue 9) of Changing Perspectives.
