Developing Competence in CareUnits 001 - 004 of the Learning Disability Awards Framework (LDAF) Level 2 Certificate in Working with People who have Learning Disabilities

A modular open-learning manual for all staff beginning to work with people who have learning disabilities.

Developing Competence in Care (DCIC) is a broad based introductory open learning course for people who are supporting, or caring for a person witha learning disability. It is designed to bring out the core values, skills and knowledge that they will need to know in order to effectively support the people with whom they work (DCIC covers Skills for Care induction/Foundation Standards). A Learner's assignment booklet and a guidance handbook for managers accompany this pack.
