Helping families face the possibility of sexual abuse
The possibility that a close relative has been sexually abused is traumatic for any family, even more so when the victim has a learning disability. This ARC publication helps families to cope with this discovery and to help their relative move towards surviving the abuse. Of equal importance, it gives guidance to families on how to prevent abuse occurring and to recognise the signs and symptoms which indicate abuse may have been happening.
