Basic Steps is our new Learning Disability qualification (LDQ) Induction distance learning training pack This new training pack not only enables you to complete the new LDQ Induction but also meets the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards and covers the underpinning knowledge for the Level 2 Health and Social Care NVQ core units.
Designed in an easy to follow format, it has clear information, examples and scenarios. It has excercises for the learner to work through to help them relate the information back to their workplace and prepare them for the assessment tasks when they have completed their learning.
The pack includes the TASSUK Assessment Booklet and Registration Forms which the learner completes and send to TASSUK, who will register the learner with the awarding body, then process the Assessment Book for marking, verification and unit certification.

Next Steps
Next Steps, as the name suggests, builds on the learning in Basic Steps, and takes the learner forward by providing the underpinning knowledge for the remainder of an NVQ in Health and Social Care at Level 2.
It is available as a distance learning pack or a taught course. You can choose two out of the following three courses:
- Handling medication in social care settings
- Following a care plan
- Support with personal care
