Event: U-AUTISM (06-02-09)

This one-day course will provide participants with substantial knowledge to enable them to understand people with autism and their particular support needs.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course participants will:
- Understand the three main defining characteristics of Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Understand the meaning of the term Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Understand behaviour characteristics that may be displayed by people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Understand possible implications for individual's with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder resulting from their difficulties with communication, social interaction and proablems with imagination, perception and thought processes.
Training courses will run from 10.00am to 4.30pm (Tea/coffee available from 9.30am)
Cost: ARC Member: £75.00 Non- ARC Member: £90.00
The above costs include materials and refreshments (sandwich lunch is provided).
