A City and Guilds Accredited programme of learning specifically designed for people working in learning disability services.
What Does It Cover? Induction and Foundation
Designed to develop staff knowledge in:
Induction
• Becoming a Safe Practitioner (Unit 001)
• Working in Learning Disability Services (Unit 002)
Foundation
• Understanding Positive Communication (Unit 003)
• Understanding Abuse (Unit 004)
After completion of the Induction and Foundation Units learners can progress to other units, gaining credits towards the full certificate. Areas covered include:
• Understanding Anti Oppressive Practice
• Understand Learning Disability
• Sexual Health & Awareness
