Why would you want me?

We are concerned at the small number of men working in learning disability services. The men and women we support want YOU to work with them. We are actively seeking men to participate in this programme that will help you gain a rewarding job in the social care sector. Training sessions will be held in North Down / Ards and North / West Belfast throughout 2006/07.

What's in it for me?

  • Lunches and travel expenses (public transport rate);
  • Certificate of Achievement;
  • Information on jobs available now in your area;

Will I be Bored?

With the practical work sessions and the hands on experience that we are offering, we DARE you to fall asleep during our programme.

But it's women's work!

Granted, it has been dominated by women but we want YOU to help us change that. The men and women we support tell us they want more men working in the sector to help them in their day-to-day lives.

Will i get paid loads of money?

The jobs on offer start at £6 per hour; which will increase with experience. The other benefits you will receive from working in the care sector are worth their weight in gold!
