On Monday 18 June, ARC (NI) members met with RQIA, who have confirmed the arrangements for Introduction of Regulation and Inspection Arrangements to Domiciliary Care Providers. Briefly, the arrangements are as follows.
- On Monday, 2 July 2007 agencies will receive a letter from RQIA detailing the process and advising them to request an application pack from RQIA.
- RQIA will hold an Information Session in September 2007 to assist agencies complete the application pack and address any queries there may be.
- Agencies will need to have their applications submitted by the end of November 2007.
It is hoped that the process of registration will be complete by the end of March 2008 with new inspection arrangements coming into force from April 2008.
