NVQ Support Programme
Step by Step provides a structured learning programme for NVQ candidates in care services leading to attainment of NVQ HSC (Health and Social Care) Levels 2 and 3.
The programme provides a framework for candidates and assessors to receive support and clear guidance from registration to completion within a supportive group environement. It will consist of:
- Six full day workshops
- Guidance and support throughout the assessment process
- Guidance on theories, legislation and values underpinning the knowledge specification.
- Course materials and handouts.
The programme runs between March and December with an expectation that each candidate would complete their qualification before Christmas!
Assessors will be expected to attend all sessions in order that they can be supported to develop effective assessment plans and implement them with candidates with clearly set and supported timescales.
Candidates must be registered with ARC for the chosen NVQ and willing to commit to programme requirements of attendance and work on NVQ portfolio building between taught sessions.
