Specialist Training - Friendship and Community

This 3 day course focuses on learning in an experiential way tools and techniques to be used in direct support work with people. The course is structured so that participants apply their learning in direct practice and then have space to come back and share how things have gone.

  • Opportunities to explore own values and how these relate to community connecting
  • Understanding definitions of community and their relevance to community connecting work
  • Understanding the role of bridge-builder
  • Awareness of how key strategies for supporting people to build and sustain relationships
