This one day course provides an insight to autism in all its forms and with all its complexities.
Always Unique, Totally Interesting, Sometimes MysteriousThe emphasis is on how to provide unique and individual support and aims to give learners the confidence to incorporate the theory and knowledge shared today into their work practice.
By attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe the history of autism
- Recall at least 3 different characteristics of the disorder
- Identify the "triad of impairments"
- List some of the difficulties people on the Autistic Spectrum may experience
- Describe associated conditions
- Identify ways of improving practice
