Local Scottish Networks

Our Lives Project (local learning disability provider networks)

ARC Scotland’s Our Lives project has two key aims:

  • Enable Learning Disability Provider Organisations’ to gain formal representation on local authority planning structures
  • Promote person centred working for all services for people with a learning disability

We currently maintain networks in:

ARC Scotland has also facilitated meetings for providers in Forth Valley and in Dundee and it is anticipated that we will establish networks in these areas during 2008.

ARC Scotland also works very closely with the Person Centred Planning (PCP) Officer in Midlothian Council and has co-facilitated 2 events with her on in-Control and Shaping the Future under the remit of the Our Lives project.

ARC Scotland's Our Lives Project is funded through the Scottish Executive for three years from April 2006 to March 2009.
