NEW MANAGERS' INDUCTION FRAMEWORK

Several members of the ARC Cymru Training Partnership have produced an induction framework for new managers in the social care sector.

You can download a copy by clicking on the logo above (Word document, c. 330kB).

Please note that the current version of the framework maps to the old registered managers' award.  An updated version that maps to the new award is being prepared, but the existing version is still useful in the meantime.

Providing services to people with a learning disability has become increasingly complex and many providers struggle with the logistics of effective workforce training. The ARC Cymru Training Partnership was formed to support our members as they build a skilled and qualified workforce, with three over-arching aims:

  • To ensure that service providers know how to support people with a learning disability to lead the lives they want to live
  • To help service providers develop sustainable, quality services
  • To share quality resources, knowledge and best practice through regular meetings

The objectives of the Partnership are:

  • To develop, deliver and review quality training to the mutual benefit of partnership members.
  • To promote continuity of standards.
  • To support members to meet mandatory training requirements.
  • To access available funding to the benefit of member organisations.
  • To gather feedback and agree collective action on Workforce Development issues.

Membership of the Training Partnership is free to all ARC Cymru members. Details of forthcoming meetings can be found in the Events section. The Partnership also provides a number of specialist training courses.
