Active Support Training

As part of our Active Support Project, we are offering a 2 day training to introduce organisations and staff teams to Active Support and help them to use it when supporting their service users. The first day of training is for the whole staff team, both managers and support staff. The second day, which builds on the first, is interactive training for managers only (who must have attended the previous day's training). Note that the training is usually, but not necessarily, delivered on two consecutive days and that the training for all staff can be run on two days to accommodate your staff team.

A 2 hour Active Support Induction is available for organisations already using the AS Model, to use as part of their Induction process. This includes a PowerPoint presentation and handouts. ARC can support managers in delivering this session.

Training is available for FREE to ARC members, and is also available to non-members.

If you wish to discuss Active Support Training or a presentation of the Active Support Model for your organisation, please contact Christine Harcombe by email to christine.harcombe@arcuk.org.uk or by phone on 07701 099861.

In addition to the courses described above, we are planning to hold a one-day Introduction to Active Support course during the Winter (2008-09).
